Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems on various heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire services, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and HVAC system checks to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
- Use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and diagnostic tools to accurately identify issues and execute precise repairs on diesel engines and industrial machinery.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to support equipment repair or customization projects.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and repair logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during troubleshooting or testing procedures to verify repairs and performance standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot electrical systems, implement repairs efficiently, and uphold high-quality workmanship standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment maintenance is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, air brake systems, suspension alignment, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience working with construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting methods required for complex repairs.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; familiarity with OEM specifications is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of troubleshooting diverse equipment issues efficiently.
- Valid certifications related to diesel engine repair or heavy equipment servicing are advantageous; relevant licenses or certifications in electrical systems or HVAC are a plus.

Pay: $28.74 - $34.62 per hour
