Responsibilities
- Operate industrial dryers, washers, and other laundry equipment to process linens and textiles efficiently.
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and storage of clean items.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely to transport laundry loads throughout the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by adhering to cleaning schedules and safety standards in production.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents during heavy lifting or equipment operation.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes when necessary, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics.
- Support inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages or maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry operations is preferred, especially within hotel or hospitality settings.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures, including use of industrial dryers and dry cleaning methods.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and materials handling.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to ensure a secure workspace.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of materials handling equipment and safety protocols related to industrial laundry processes.
