Please note: this position is part time, 25 hours per week.
Do you have prior law enforcement or military service experience and a desire to help protect and secure a church? If so, YOU may be the new Security Officer at Scottsdale Bible Church! God has called us to build up and protect the church, spreading his word. You can use your skills to help provide a safe sanctuary for the members and staff of SBC!
As the Security Officer, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to Central Security Director and are responsible to provide protection and safety to church employees, attendees, visitors and church facilities.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
Patrol the premises, including parking area and all buildings hourly.
Monitor cameras and access control
Observe security maintenance/ repair needs including but not limited to: access control, camera’s, lighting, doors.
Greet and interact with those on campus with an eye for possible threats while exhibiting Christ-like qualities
Respond to medical emergencies, providing initial first-aid and coordinate necessary emergency personnel
Identify possible security/safety issues and bring to the attention of the Campus Lead.
Complete incident/accident reports as needed
Promote goodwill and a positive image of Scottsdale Bible Church
Assist other ministries where help is needed
Must be willing to work at all Scottsdale Bible Church campus locations. This position will mostly work in Tempe and Cactus campus locations.

Education and/or experience required:
Ability to pass firearms qualifications within 6 months of hire date
Knowledge of security practices/training in de-escalation procedures, first aid and CPR
