Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining 5-Axis CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in 5-Axis CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the production of top-tier products.
Duties:
- Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Work with management to identify new equipment to fill out machining capacities, including lasers, cnc press breaks, lathes, etc.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate manufacturing specifications are met.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Maintain machine calibration, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe working environment, following company policies.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, packaging finished products, and supporting fabrication processes as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating 5-Axis CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, and related equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software, Solidworks and SolidCAM a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in tooling setup.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other quality control tools.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for machining tasks.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills:
- CNC programming: 3 years (Preferred)
- Experience with Fanuc controls or similar PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems is highly desirable but not required.
- Forklift Certification
- Welding, other fabrication techniques, and material handling
