Happy Vitals is seeking a dependable Per Diem Field Service Technician to provide onsite operational and technical support for our Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) equipment at skilled nursing facilities.

You'll be responsible for ensuring Happy Vitals tablets and RPM equipment are properly configured, powered, and fully operational so clinical teams can reliably collect patient vital signs. This hands-on role focuses on equipment setup, preventative maintenance, hardware troubleshooting, and operational support rather than traditional help desk IT.
Configure and maintain Happy Vitals RPM tablets and related equipment.
Ensure tablets are properly connected to power sources and charging systems.
Install, replace, and troubleshoot power strips, adapters, and charging accessories as needed.
Verify equipment is correctly assembled, configured, and ready for clinical use.
Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Configure Android tablets using company applications and device management tools.
Pair tablets with Bluetooth-enabled medical devices.
Verify device connectivity and ensure accurate communication between equipment.
Troubleshoot basic software configuration, charging, and connectivity issues.
Perform minor hardware repairs and replace damaged components.
Replace or tighten tablet mounts, holders, and other hardware components.
Use basic hand tools to maintain mobile equipment carts and accessories.
Ensure all equipment remains clean, organized, and operational.
Document completed repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status.
Coordinate with clinical and operations teams to ensure equipment readiness.
Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring equipment issues.

2+ years of experience in field service, technical support, hardware repair, facilities maintenance, or similar technical roles.
Experience configuring Android tablets or mobile devices.
Familiarity with Bluetooth device pairing and connectivity.
Experience performing minor hardware repairs and preventative maintenance.
Comfortable using basic hand tools and replacing power strips, charging accessories, tablet mounts, and similar hardware.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to skilled nursing facilities as needed.
Experience supporting medical devices or healthcare technology is preferred but not required.
Per Diem position with flexible scheduling based on service requests.
