We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer focused Apartment Maintenance Technician to join or team. This position is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and property grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and attractive living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to resident satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform repairs and maintenance involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, appliances, carpentry, drywall and painting, doors, locks and windows
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
- Conduct routine property inspections and preventative maintenance
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and amenities in excellent condition
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping and property upkeep as needed
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in an on-call rotation
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities
- Work professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, crawl, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
