Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling all sales transactions with professionalism
- Maintain knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage menus to assist guests with selections and pairings
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate order accuracy and timely service while managing multiple tables effectively
- Upsell menu items including specialty drinks or desserts to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously
- Assist in maintaining a clean dining area, including table setup, sanitation, and overall restaurant cleanliness
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability in customer service with excellent communication skills
- Proven time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
- Experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and service excellence is highly valued
