At TFT, we are passionate about designing vibrant indoor and outdoor plantscapes to promote health and well-being. We’re a family-, woman-, and veteran-owned small business, and our team is everything to us! We’re a lively group of plant-lovers, creatives, and nature enthusiasts who care about our work—and each other.
We’re hiring a few positive, hard-working people to help maintain commercial flower beds, pots, and gardens throughout the Des Moines metro. Some days you’ll work solo on a maintenance route; other days you’ll team up for weeding and trimming projects. Maintenance routes run 2 or 3 days a week, depending on the season (example: Spring routes are either Mon/Thurs or Tues/Fri and Summer routes are either M/W/F or T/Th/Sa). No work is scheduled on Sundays.
We are currently seeking a new teammate to run a M/W/F route; you may have the option to work on a grounds maintenance crew on Tuesdays or Thursdays!
There are also opportunities to assist with our Commercial Holiday and Interior Plantscaping Divisions, helping with seasonal décor and interior plant installations.
We provide healthy food and snacks, cold drinks, branded gear, and all the tools you’ll need—including sunscreen and bug spray! A company truck is also provided on the job.

Must have:
- A positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions (cold, heat, rain, wind, etc.)
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Clean/reasonable driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from TFT Warehouse
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to bend, lift, reach, squat, and be on feet for 6-8 hours a day
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on a variety of plants, including watering, deadheading, and fertilizing
- Assist with annual and perennial plant installations and grounds maintenance
- Utilize tools and equipment as assigned
- Accurately log plant care activities and upload photos to company management software app via Smartphone
