Job Summary
Watkins is looking for a high performing, results-oriented Sales Director to oversee our sales teams across all Watkins locations (Lincoln, Omaha, Grand Island, and Kearney). The sales is responsible for development of commercial sales markets and sells products manufactured and represented by Watkins to profit standards. This position must oversee sales managers teams across all Watkins locations in the prospect, contact, influence of new accounts, in addition to supporting and growing established accounts. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, the following:
Develops sales goals for growing revenue and improving profit margins; creates and implements sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
Establishes performance goals for sales teams and consistently evaluate achievement of performance standards.
Provides effective leadership that facilitates, encourages and assures achievement of goals.
Fosters and advances positive professional relationships with coworkers, customers, vendors and NEBCO companies.
Services, maintains, and develops existing commercial clients: contractors, developers, owners, specifiers.
Prospects and develops new accounts: contractors, developers, owners, specifiers.
Coordinates operations of commercial sales team with all other departments/divisions within the Company.
Collaborates with NEBCO Marketing Manager and Watkins sales teams in developing a marketing strategy, marketing collateral, and advertising campaigns that support and advance the sales goals.
Closely monitors and analyzes sales revenue, sales trends and inventory trends; Responds and adjusts sales plans as required.
Develops, monitors, maintains and manages appropriate price lists and special terms for customers.
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures to facilitate the efficiency of the sales operation and meet the needs of the customer.
Responsible for development and/or selection of new products for the commercial market.
Represents the Company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the Company.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position supervises sales teams across all Watkins locations. The position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; and

five years related sales experience, with at least 3 years in managing sales teams, in construction or related industry; or
-
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must have driver’s license and be insurable with the company driver policy.

Ability to use quantitative skills to analyze product and production based on sales goals and customer orders with ability to analyze market sales data and make recommendations.

Must be able to work weekends and evenings based on business needs or customer requests. Some overnight travel may be required.
