At Linwood Center, we’re looking for a Behavior Specialist to play a key role in supporting students and staff. In this role, you’ll help design and implement behavior strategies that empower students while working in a collaborative, supportive environment where your expertise is valued. You’ll have ongoing opportunities for professional growth and support from supervisors, all while making a meaningful impact every day.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop and oversee Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Train and support classroom staff to ensure effective implementation of behavior strategies
Monitor student progress through data collection and analysis
Maintain accurate documentation aligned with state guidelines
Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student success
Participate in meetings and contribute to student programming and planning
Support onboarding and intake processes for new students
Provide guidance and mentorship to behavior assistants
We provide CPR certification
We provide Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training
Ongoing support and guidance from supervisors
Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or related field (preferred)
BCBA certification (or comparable)
At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Passion for supporting students with behavioral needs
