Summary: The Stockroom Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the timely receipt, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials, tools, and supplies to support production operations. This role supports operational efficiency by coordinating deliveries, performing inventory and cycle counts, preparing job kits, working within SAP, and maintaining a safe, organized stockroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to ensure that all production-related parts, materials, tools, and supplies are received accurately and in a timely manner, matched to the corresponding Purchase Order, and issued and returned to stock as needed.
- Maintaining an organized and clean stock room environment.
- Coordination of all deliveries.
- Maintain an accurate inventory by completing regular inventory counts to ensure correct stock levels.
- Preform cycle counts monthly. Maintain 98% inventory accuracy as measured by quarterly inventory reconciliations.
- Assure that schedule commitments are met. Support the operations team with material, supplies, and parts as they require. Kitting jobs and providing parts to the shop floor.
- Working within SAP to complete daily job functions.
- Assure a clean working environment and work with Facilities to maintain the functioning and safety of the facility.
- Leads the recycling program.
- As part of the team, participate in goals and objectives for the company.
- Acts as back up to the receiving clerk.
- Will in time act as backup to large shipping and receiving team.
- Other duties as required.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to read and complete documentation with legible handwriting.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers and other office equipment including telephone, fax, Email, as well as other communication technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Access, Excel, and MSWord.
- Ability to meet schedule commitments and handle multiple actions simultaneously.
- Ability to take initiative as problems or opportunities arise.
- Demonstrates high levels of verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and reasoning ability.
Preferred qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of Stockroom or Material Handling experience including the use of an ERP system such as SAP, preferred.
- 3 Years of Aerospace industry experience, including familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements, preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with manufacturing and business systems.

This position requires the use of vision up close (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and at a distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more), the ability to identify and distinguish colors, peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up, down or to the left and/or right while the eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: The Stores Coordinator performs work in a production environment and may regularly be exposed to dust and heat. Occasional exposure to loud noise (e.g., drilling) and fumes or airborne particles should be expected. Minimal exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals is present. Personal protective equipment may be required.
