About the Role
As a Printing Press Assistant, you will play a vital role in our production team by ensuring the seamless operation of high-speed printing equipment. You will collaborate with lead operators to maintain print quality and efficiency, utilizing your technical skills to support the creation of premium packaging solutions.
Responsibilities-
Execute press setups by managing plate installations, blanket adjustments, and cylinder packing to meet precise job specifications.

Optimize production flow by monitoring ink levels, fountain solution conductivity, and replenishing consumables throughout the run.

Ensure superior output quality by operating scanning densitometers and conducting regular visual inspections for color accuracy.

Maintain equipment reliability through proactive preventative maintenance, roller changes, and routine cleaning of ink units and cylinders.

Facilitate efficient material handling by staging finished products and assisting in the training of junior team members.

Uphold a safe and organized workspace while strictly adhering to all operational and safety protocols.

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a multi-color offset, flexographic, or gravure printing environment.

Strong color vision and the ability to perform accurate color discrimination.

Proficiency in basic math, including fractions and decimals.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Direct experience with Mitsubishi press systems.

Technical knowledge of UV inks, in-line coating, and paperboard substrates.

Familiarity with 4-color process printing and advanced densitometry tools.

Basic computer literacy and a strong aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting.
