La Maternelle French Academy, a French immersion preschool established in Houston since 2008, is looking for a PK4 Teacher to join our team. You will teach in a small classroom setting (8/9 students), allowing for individualized instruction and meaningful relationships with students.
We offer a warm, supportive, and engaging teaching environment focused on early childhood development.
Responsibilities
- Teach in full French immersion, plus one hour of English instruction daily.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate PK4 lessons: early literacy, early math, science, motor skills, and discovery activities.
- Promote autonomy, confidence, creativity, and strong language development.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with families about progress and classroom events.
- Collaborate with school leadership and participate in school programs and events.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 4 to 6 required.
- Native French speaker required; solid English skills preferred.
- Passion for early childhood education and bilingual teaching.
- Strong classroom management, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
- Early Childhood Education degree or teaching certification is an advantage (not mandatory).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Background check required upon hire.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Monday–Friday — 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM
