Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them to their tables.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and reduce wait times.
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times.
- Deliver food orders promptly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with clearing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting the serving staff as needed.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately.
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service and clear communication.
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles within a restaurant setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality best practices.
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus, demonstrating strong guest relations skills.
