Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Multi-Site Position | On-Call Required (2 weeks per month)
Position Overview
Mid-Ohio Contracting Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of commercial and residential properties. This is a roving role requiring travel between multiple job sites and participation in an on-call rotation (2 weeks per month).
The ideal candidate has strong general maintenance experience, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. HVAC certification is strongly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work across multiple properties
- Respond to on-call service requests during assigned rotation periods
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues (as qualified)
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Inspect properties to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and basic service work (preferred skillset)
- Travel between job sites as needed (roving position)
- Coordinate with property managers and team members to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance or facilities maintenance experience
- Valid Ohio driver’s license required
- Ability to travel between job sites (roving role)
- HVAC certification preferred but not required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and professionalism
On-Call Requirements
- Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule (2 weeks per month)
- Must be available to respond to urgent maintenance needs during assigned on-call periods
- Reliable response time and availability required

Physical Requirements

Work Environment
- Work performed across multiple properties (roving assignment)
- Exposure to mechanical systems, tools, and construction/maintenance environments
- Occasional exposure to weather conditions and after-hours emergency calls
