Certified Scrub Technologist - Office-Based Lab - 1099 POSITION, PART-TIME
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Scrub Technologist (CST) to join our innovative office-based lab team. In this role, you will be an essential part of our clinical staff, providing exceptional support for a variety of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and surgeries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent aseptic technique, and be committed to patient safety and positive surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are readily available and in proper working order.
- Anticipate physician needs during procedures, passing instruments and supplies efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique throughout the procedure to prevent contamination and infection.
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and ensures patient comfort and safety.
- Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and handling of specimens.
- Clean and reprocess instruments according to established protocols.
- Maintain a well-organized and stocked procedure room.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in operating imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, ultrasound) as it pertains to the scrub role.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Scrub Technologist, preferably in an interventional, cath lab, or surgical setting. (Adjust X based on your needs)

- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
