What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a mixed acuity client population on the Medical-Surgical and Oncology units
- Monitor patients using B450 monitors, GE telemetry systems, and other medical equipment
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy, with optional professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Follow infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies
- Float within units of similar or lower acuity levels as needed
- Support pediatric patients rarely, but pediatric experience is not required
What You Need
- Ohio RN license in good standing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to rotating schedules and floating shifts
About the Assignment
This role is based at a comprehensive medical/surgical oncology unit caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including solid tumors and blood cancers. The unit features approximately 48 beds with a focus on high-acuity patient care, infection prevention, and patient safety. The hospital offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development, including a 2-day chemotherapy course if desired.
