About the Role
Almost Home General is hiring experienced breakfast line cooks for our Westfield location. We're a chef-inspired breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot built on quality ingredients and high-end hospitality — and our kitchen moves fast during the morning rush. If you can cook a perfect egg every time (over easy, scrambled, poached, omelet) and hold quality through a busy service, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch items to order, including eggs (all styles), omelets, poached eggs and hollandaise, breakfast sandwiches, hot cakes, toasts, bowls, and griddle items
- Run an egg/griddle station efficiently and accurately during peak morning volume
- Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation on every plate
- Set up and stock your station before service and break it down at the end of shift
- Follow all recipes, prep lists, and plating standards
- Keep your station, equipment, and work area clean and organized throughout service
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house during service
- Assist with prep, receiving, and other kitchen duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience cooking eggs in a restaurant, diner, or breakfast/brunch kitchen (required)
- Proven ability to cook eggs consistently across all styles (over easy/medium/hard, scrambled, poached, sunny side up, omelets)
- Experience working a line or griddle station in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work quickly and stay organized under pressure during the morning rush
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to start early morning shifts
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot kitchen environment
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
