The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s success by achieving financial goals, developing a high-performing sales team, and ensuring alignment with company culture and operations excellence. This induvial will lead through proactive planning, strategic coaching, and effective management of systems to consistently deliver exceptional results.
1. Achieve company financial goals
o Analyze sales data regularly to identify trends, gaps, and areas of opportunity for improvement.
o Establish and communicate clear, measurable sales objectives aligned with company financial objectives.
Maintain sales wages as per budgeted plan
o Increase year over year RE rate by X%
Reduce cancel rates by X%
2. Coach, Develop and Hold Accountable direct reports
o Conduct 1:1’s weekly to review performance, provide constructive feedback and training and set action plans for improvement.
o Organize and lead sales training initiatives to enhance team skills and competencies.
o Clearly outline deliverables and ensure consistent follow-through on individual and team goals.
3. Ensure the right people are in the key roles and employees are being groomed to fill future employment opportunities and service company growth objectives
o Evaluate team members’ strengths, weaknesses and potential to ensure optimal role alignment
o Identify high-potential employees and develop tailored plans for their career advancement
o Act as a role model and mentor for targeted employees
4. Serve as the carrier of company culture
o Demonstrate and uphold company values in all actions and decisions
o Measure and monitor customer service standards in the sales department
o Share the company culture at every point of contact with all employees
o Foster and inclusive, motivation environment where employees feel valued and supported
o Actively build and nurture cross-functional relationships to strengthen company culture
5. Proactive planning, scheduling and coordination
o Communicate daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales plans with detailed timelines and objectives
o Execute on all timelines established at business plan
o Manage team schedules to maximize efficiency and ensure consistent coverage in the campaigns
o Ensue all necessary tools and resources are available for the team to execute effectively.
6. Consistent execution of company policies, procedures and systems
o Monitor adherence to company policies and address any deviations promptly
o Oversee the consistent implementation of sales process across the team.
o Regularly review and improve existing procedures to align with company goals
7. Effective Management of sales & marketing computer & dialing software
o Provide ongoing training to team members on best practices and selling process
o Monitor date input to maintain accuracy and reliability for reporting and decision-making.
