In this onsite role, you will champion tailored programs across a range of grade levels, focusing on students who benefit most from expert intervention.
Preferred Background and Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (tier 3 or 4 license required)
- Demonstrated experience with resource or RISE programs, particularly within middle school settings
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators
- Commitment to upholding best practices in individualized education plans and specialized instructional strategies
- Adaptable approach to meet the needs of diverse learners at varying developmental stages
- Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and reporting requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and deliver specialized support for students with a variety of developmental cognitive disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique goals
- Foster inclusive and supportive classroom environments designed to promote student independence and self-advocacy
- Work collaboratively with other educators and specialists to integrate services and promote consistency across students’ educational experiences
- Maintain regular communication with families to celebrate progress and address challenges
- Participate actively in professional development and team meetings
