Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support as needed
- Assist with Medication Administration following prescribed protocols and documentation
- Support residents with personalized engagement and behavior management techniques
- Operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely to promote resident mobility and prevent injury
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents during mealtimes to foster independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards
- Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities thoroughly to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with disabilities or memory impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Valid certification in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications in medication administration or behavior management are advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, and families
- Experience operating EMR systems for accurate recordkeeping
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for community outings or appointments
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others in achieving their best quality of life
