We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Barista who takes pride in crafting high-quality beverages and delivering an unforgettable customer experience. This role goes beyond making coffee — it’s about representing the IWANA vibe, educating customers, and moving with speed and precision behind the bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks, matcha, and specialty beverages
- Dial in espresso and maintain consistency in every shot
- Steam milk with proper technique and texture
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar at all times
- Engage with customers and provide recommendations based on our menu
- Explain our Colombian coffee offerings and origin stories when needed
- Support workflow during peak hours with speed and efficiency
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Assist with opening and closing duties
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience required (specialty coffee experience preferred)
- Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and basic latte art
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Flexible availability, including weekends
