School Photographer / Photography Assistant – Eagle Pass CrewJob Overview
TSS Photography of Southwest Texas is looking to build a dependable local photography crew in Eagle Pass, Texas to assist with our growing number of school photography assignments in the area.
We photograph students, seniors, sports teams, dance teams, cheerleaders, and other school organizations throughout South Texas. As we continue to expand our services in Eagle Pass, we are looking for energetic, dependable individuals who can join our team when we are scheduled to photograph local schools and organizations.
This is a part-time, seasonal, assignment-based position. Hours will vary depending on our photography schedule and are not guaranteed from week to week. Most school photography assignments take place on weekdays during school hours, with occasional afternoon, evening, or weekend sessions.
Professional photography experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right people.
What You'll Do
As part of our Eagle Pass photography crew, you may:
- Assist photographers during school Picture Days.
- Photograph students using our established photography system after completing training.
- Set up and break down cameras, lighting, backgrounds, computers, and photography equipment.
- Help organize and direct students through the photography process.
- Assist students with posing and preparing for their photograph.
- Verify student information and assist with computer-based check-in and photography systems.
- Work alongside teachers, coaches, sponsors, yearbook staff, and school administrators.
- Help maintain an organized and efficient workflow during high-volume Picture Days.
- Carefully load, unload, transport, and maintain photography equipment.
- Represent TSS Photography in a friendly, professional manner while on school campuses.
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal team member is:
- Dependable and punctual — school Picture Days operate on strict schedules.
- Available for at least some weekday morning and daytime assignments.
- Friendly and comfortable working with children and teenagers.
- Professional when interacting with teachers, administrators, parents, and school staff.
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Comfortable using computers and learning photography equipment and software.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Able to stand for extended periods and assist with moving and setting up photography equipment.
- Someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly and providing students with a positive Picture Day experience.
Photography Experience
Photography experience is a plus, but it is not required.
We provide training on our photography equipment, lighting, posing, workflow, and Picture Day procedures. We are more interested in finding individuals who are reliable, personable, willing to learn, and available when our Eagle Pass schools are scheduled.
Location & Schedule
This position is specifically for our Eagle Pass-area photography crew.
Applicants who live in Eagle Pass or the surrounding area are strongly encouraged to apply.
Crew members will primarily report directly to scheduled photography locations in the Eagle Pass area. Regular travel to Laredo is not required.
Assignments are scheduled in advance and may range from several hours to a full school day depending on the photography event.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible, part-time work rather than a traditional full-time schedule.

Because our photographers and assistants work directly with students and on school campuses, employment is contingent upon successfully completing a criminal background check and meeting applicable school district/vendor requirements.
