The Bel-Air Bay Club is a private club situated on the picturesque Santa Monica Bay in Pacific Palisades, California since 1928. The Bel-Air Bay Club has earned the prestigious Distinguished Emerald Club Award from the Distinguished Clubs of the World award program and is recognized as providing an experience found only at the finest clubs. We are located in southern California in the city of Pacific Palisades.
Summary
To maximize servers time on the floor and ensure member and guest satisfaction, by maintaining cleanliness in front and back of house areas.
Essential Functions:
Position duties may include any other tasks as deemed necessary by managers in order to fulfill the obligations of the club.
§ Greet members and guest and assist with seating.
§ Sanitize and set and reset tables before, during and after service periods.
§ Stack and stock side stations with dry goods, extra chine settings and silverware.
§ Anticipate guests needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
§ Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
§ Prepare and serve beverages.
§ Remove dirty dishes from tables between courses and clear tables after guests leave.
§ Buff and polish glass and silverware where necessary.
§ Replace silverware for next course.
§ Manage clean and dirty linen.
§ Return dirty dishes to dish washing area.
§ Manage correct stacking of dirty items.
§ On occasion, may assist staff in serving tables.
§ Complete closing duties as assigned.
§ Manage buffet table service and refills.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Must be T.I.P.S. and ServeSafe certified
- Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures
- High level of professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized under
pressure.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, ensuring guest and staff needs are met.
- At least 1 year of food & beverage experience
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Able to stand for long hours, bending, lifting and reaching over.
- Ability to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear.
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Satisfactory auditory abilities are required.
Environmental Factors
- The employee is exposed to working around inside and outside environmental conditions in high temperatures, cold temperatures and above normal noise levels.
Work Hours
This position is an hourly position with a work schedule according to demand. It requires working mainly evening shifts, weekends and holidays with a willingness to work overtime if necessary.
