Join Our Team as a Guest Experience Repair Assistant Coach!
Are you an experienced ski and snowboard repair technician who enjoys leading a team and creating great guest experiences? As the Guest Experience Repair Assistant Coach, you’ll help oversee the daily operations of our Repair Shop while ensuring guests receive safe, reliable, and timely equipment service.
In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with the Guest Experience Coach to support and train team members, manage repair workflow, maintain current repair and binding practices, and provide exceptional service to our guests. During busy periods, you’ll also help support Rental Experience operations and other Guest Experience needs throughout the resort.
What You’ll Do:
Repair Shop Operations & Safety:
- Perform ski and snowboard tunes, including waxing, edging, and base repairs.
- Mount, adjust, and test ski and snowboard bindings according to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Ensure all binding work complies with current indemnification and safety requirements.
- Inspect equipment for damage and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement when necessary.
- Keep repair equipment and machinery clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Repair Shop while following all resort safety policies and procedures
Guest Experience & Service:
- Greet guests with a friendly, professional attitude and provide accurate and reliable information.
- Assist guests with equipment questions and recommend appropriate repair and maintenance services.
- Communicate repair services and expected turnaround times clearly with guests.
- Help create a positive guest experience through professional, efficient, and knowledgeable service.
- Support Rental Experience operations and group arrivals during peak periods as needed.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Provide direct oversight and support to Repair Shop team members.
- Train and develop employees on current repair techniques, safety standards, guest service expectations, and operating procedures.
- Plan, assign, and direct daily work to ensure efficient Repair Shop operations.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members.
- Assist with addressing employee concerns and resolving problems in accordance with resort policies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Guest Experience Coach and other resort managers.
Administrative & Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily repair workflow to ensure services are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and service records.
- Monitor repair inventory and supplies and communicate ordering needs to management.
- Help ensure current technical information, manufacturer requirements, and repair procedures are communicated to the team.
- Assist with maintaining an efficient and organized operation during high-volume periods.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Two years of college; two to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with ski and snowboard tuning, repair, binding mounting, adjustment, and testing.
- Leadership Skills: Prior leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.
- Safety Focused: Strong attention to manufacturer specifications, binding requirements, equipment safety, and resort procedures.
- Guest Service Oriented: Friendly, professional, and committed to providing an excellent experience for every guest.
- Self-Starter: Able to take initiative, solve problems, and effectively manage responsibilities with limited direction.
- Excellent Communication: Able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, employees, and resort management.
- Flexible & Dependable: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
- Physically Capable: Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch; occasionally climb and balance; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.; and push or pull up to 30 lbs.

Location & Schedule:
Location: Greek Peak Mountain Resort, Cortland, NY
Schedule: Flexible schedule based on resort operations, including weekends, holidays, and peak winter periods.
