Schwend Inc. is hiring experienced CDL A Regional Hopper Truck Drivers for our hopper division. CDL A Regional Truck Driver Job Highlights
- $1,200–$1,500 average gross weekly pay
- $5,000 sign-on bonus paid at $100 per week
- Earn 24% of gross, increasing to 25% after 1 year and 26% after 2 years
- $0.25 per mile after 50 deadhead miles per load
- $30 nightly per diem
- $75 additional pay for weekend layovers
- Quarterly fuel and safety bonuses
- Weekly pay every Friday
- Regional routes throughout the Southeast
- Home most weekends with occasional weekend work
- Paid orientation and hopper trailer training provided
CDL A Regional Truck Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate hopper trailers throughout the Southeast
- Haul bulk commodities on regional routes
- Open and close hopper doors and roll tarps during loading and unloading
- Sweep trailers when necessary to ensure complete product removal
- Climb trailer ladders and perform hands-on unloading duties
- Maintain DOT compliance while providing excellent customer service
CDL A Regional Truck Driver Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 2 years of verifiable CDL experience within the last 4 years
- Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in all weather conditions
- Comfortable climbing ladders, operating roll tarps, and sweeping trailers when needed
- Must have a CB radio, hands-free headset, steel-toe shoes
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic
