In this position, you will primarily serve Cambridge-South Dorchester High School and Dorchester Career & Technology Center, with a dedicated day each week at Maple Elementary School. The assignment begins August 24th, 2026, and continues through June 10th, 2027, following a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in Maryland (MD)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working as a school-based SLP is preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation abilities
- Positive communicator with students, staff, and families
- Organizational skills to balance caseload responsibilities across multiple campuses
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in group and individual settings
- Collaborate with educators, multidisciplinary teams, and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings/documentation
- Offer support and expertise to staff regarding communication strategies and intervention
