Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech therapy, language therapy, voice disorders, fluency issues, and swallowing difficulties
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care
- Document patient progress accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards
- Educate patients and their families on speech-language strategies to support ongoing progress at home or in educational settings
- Perform patient assessments involving physiology knowledge and anatomy understanding to identify underlying causes of speech or language impairments
- Participate in telehealth therapy sessions utilizing telehealth platforms to reach patients remotely when needed
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy, early intervention programs, and working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in pediatric populations and early intervention settings
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles including anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proven ability to develop comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse patient needs
- Skilled in implementing speech therapy plans across various environments such as schools, clinics, or telehealth platforms
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams including educators, healthcare professionals, and families
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex communication needs
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for telehealth delivery while maintaining high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of working with geriatric patients on communication or swallowing issues
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently while ensuring timely documentation and follow-up
