Position Summary:
The Snack & Pantry Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, organization, and presentation of pantry and snack areas while leading a small team of onsite pantry attendants. This position ensures pantry operations run efficiently, all service areas remain clean and fully stocked, and employees receive exceptional customer service. The Team Lead assigns daily tasks, monitors team performance, maintains inventory, coordinates deliveries, and ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Supervision
● Supervise, coach, and support a small team of pantry attendants to ensure efficient daily operations.
● Assign daily responsibilities and monitor workflow to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
● Train, mentor, and onboard new pantry attendants while fostering a positive and productive work environment
● Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance, providing constructive feedback and escalating concerns to management as appropriate.
● Assist management with scheduling, shift coverage, and staffing needs.
● Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for pantry operations during assigned shifts.
Pantry Operations
● Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked pantry and snack areas throughout the day.
● Monitor inventory levels and replenish snacks, beverages, coffee, and pantry supplies.
● Receive, inspect, and organize deliveries, ensuring products are properly stored and rotated using First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices.
● Track inventory usage and communicate ordering needs to management.
● Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health standards.
● Prepare coffee stations, beverage equipment, and pantry amenities for daily service.
● Perform routine cleaning of pantry equipment, refrigerators, countertops, and dining areas.
● Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve pantry related concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
● Report equipment maintenance issues or supply shortages to management.
● Maintain accurate inventory, receiving, and waste records.
● Support special events, meetings, and catering setups as assigned.
● Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
● Minimum of two years of experience in food service, hospitality, pantry services, facilities support, or a related field.
● Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a small team is strongly preferred.
● Knowledge of inventory management and food safety practices.
● Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
● Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
● Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
● Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, scheduling, and communication are preferred.
Physical Requirements
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
● Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
● Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and stocking of supplies.
● Ability to work in refrigerated storage areas when receiving or organizing products.
Work Environment
● Corporate office, hospitality, or commercial workplace.
● Position is primarily scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with occasional schedule adjustments to support business needs, special events, or catering activities
