Focus People is a family-owned, Atlanta-based staffing firm that has been serving clients since 1994. We help companies find dependable talent in areas such as call center, administrative, accounting, IT, and warehouse support.
We are growing and looking for an Outside Sales Representative who can build new business in the Atlanta market.
This is a true hunting role. This is not a role for someone who only wants warm leads or account management. The right person will be comfortable picking up the phone, walking into businesses, asking good questions, following up with purpose, and building a territory from the ground up.
We are looking for an analytical sales hunter.
We are interested in someone who has sold a service (B2B), understands cold prospecting, and has the discipline to work a daily sales process. You do not need staffing sales experience.
We are hiring for someone who can plan their day, identify prospects, qualify opportunities, and consistently create new conversations with hiring managers and business owners.
Prospect for new business across the Atlanta market, with a strong focus on the west side of Atlanta
Make outbound calls, send targeted emails, network, and conduct in-person prospect visits
Knock doors and walk into businesses to create new opportunities
Identify companies that use temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire staffing support
Conduct discovery conversations with hiring managers and decision makers
Learn the client’s hiring challenges, workforce needs, and timing
Present Focus People’s staffing services in a clear and consultative way
Create and deliver proposals based on client needs
Follow up consistently with prospects and clients
Maintain accurate notes, activities, and pipeline updates in CRM
Work with the recruiting and operations team to transition new business smoothly
Build long-term client relationships after the initial sale
The right person will:
Work a daily prospecting system
Stay organized and intentional with their territory
Make calls before distractions take over the day
Get out into the market consistently
Follow up
Ask strong qualifying questions
Walk away from poor-fit opportunities
Build trust through consistency, not just personality
Create new appointments, proposals, and signed agreements
Take ownership of activity and results
Prior door-knocking, cold canvassing, or face-to-face cold prospecting experience
Prior B2B service sales experience
Comfortable with outbound phone calls and in-person prospecting
Ability to build a territory and create opportunities without relying only on inbound leads
Strong follow-up habits and attention to detail
Ability to communicate professionally with business owners, managers, and executives
Comfortable using a CRM or similar tracking system
Local to Atlanta, with reliable transportation
Must be able to work in the field throughout the Atlanta market
B2B sales experience
Outside sales experience
Experience selling to business owners, HR leaders, operations leaders, or hiring managers
Experience selling staffing, payroll, logistics, security, insurance, pest control, telecom, SaaS, marketing, financial services, or another service-based solution

Compensation: This role offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission.
Compensation will be discussed based on experience, sales background, and fit for the role.
Schedule: Full-time Monday through Friday
This role includes office time, phone prospecting, field prospecting, and in-person client meetings.
