As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team and help bring our custom millwork projects to life.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter with experience in millwork to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom woodwork products, including doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and molding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both shop-based carpentry and on-site installation, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, cut, shape, and assemble custom millwork products, including doors, cabinets, trim, and other wood elements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Measure and cut wood and other materials to meet precise specifications.
- Install millwork products at client sites, ensuring proper fit, finish, and alignment.
- Use woodworking tools and machinery (e.g., saws, drills, sanders, routers) safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other carpenters, project managers, and design teams to meet deadlines and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the shop and on job sites.
- Assist with project setup and material preparation, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Perform general carpentry work, including repairs and adjustments to millwork products as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally in a millwork or custom woodwork environment.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with both shop-based woodworking and on-site installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various environments (shop and job sites).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for site visits).
- A high school diploma or equivalent; formal carpentry training or apprenticeship is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills
