Responsibilities
- Operate your own tractor-trailer to transport freight across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment, following proper logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including manifests, bills of lading, and inspection reports.
- Maintain vehicle condition through routine inspections and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Must own a tractor that meets industry standards for safety and compliance.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with necessary endorsements such as Hazmat if applicable.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards.
- Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes.
- Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling.
