ILIM School is on the hunt for an imaginative, energetic, slightly eccentric (in the best way) educator who can turn Math , and English Language arts into a full-on adventure.
We want someone who:
* Can teach fractions with food, prepositions with theater, and place value through treasure hunts.
* Thinks critical thinking is cooler than cramming.
* Believes independence isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a goal.
* Help make writing and literatue fun and enjoyable
* Sees learning not as worksheets and quiet rows, but as discovery, dialogue, and doing.
Your Superpowers Might Include:
* Turning "boring" lessons into epic projects that have kids talking about it at dinner
* Explaining multiplication while helping kids design a pop-up shop
* Running literacy circles like book clubs with opinions, snacks, and great questions
* Respecting structure, but never letting it box in your magic
* Loving rubrics… and then turning them into scavenger hunts
In This Role, You’ll:
* Create and lead project-based lessons for English and Math
* Weave in Montessori and Reggio strategies while keeping things fresh and fun
* Foster student independence, communication, and real-world problem-solving
* Collaborate with an innovative team that values your ideas
* Be a part of a school that isn’t run by a district, but by visionaries and doers
Must-Haves:
* Experience with elementary-aged children (and a sense of humor)
* Passion for project-based learning and child-led discovery
* Confidence to color outside the lines (literally and figuratively)
* Strong classroom management through engagement, not control
* Love of language, numbers, and young minds with big questions
Nice-to-Haves:
* Montessori or Project based training (or willingness to learn)
* Fluent in spontaneous dance parties or impromptu storytelling
