Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and other specialty dishes with precision and flair
- Follow standardized recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency and quality in every plate served
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new breakfast options or improvements based on guest preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy morning hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or culinary environments
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques for breakfast dishes
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining service is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Exceptional teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
