3rd Shift - Forklift Operator
Hours: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Sark Wire is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to support inventory management, and material handling activities throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Organize warehouse inventory, storage areas, and materials to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Replace propane cylinders and perform basic forklift maintenance procedures as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production floor.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and forklift operating requirements.
- Assist with additional production floor and material-handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous forklift operation experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and maintain awareness of surroundings in an active manufacturing environment.
