Summary of Responsibility
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will support the Physical Therapist in assessing and evaluating patients with both acute injuries and chronic health conditions across inpatient settings. The PTA will assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans using a variety of physical modalities and exercise techniques, with the goal of improving patients' quality of life. Working under the guidance of the Physical Therapist, the PTA will help patients regain their range of motion, manage pain, and improve strength and endurance in a safe and effective manner. The PTA will also assist in utilizing a full range of equipment to help patients transition back to their daily activities and achieve their baseline functional abilities.
Qualifications
- Current or eligible for an Idaho State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
- Two (2) years of appropriate experience as a physical therapist assistant in an acute clinical setting or transitional care unit, preferred.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR / First Aid Certification.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
