Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic MRI Technologist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging results
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, providing reassurance and addressing any concerns or adverse reactions
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience operating MRI equipment with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles
- Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately perform diagnostic evaluations
- Ability to apply aseptic technique consistently to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care
- Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist is preferred; additional certifications in CT or sonography are a plus
