Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding and interest
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory counts
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and cashiering procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience or grocery store background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team support roles
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone or in person
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales, discounts, and cash handling
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
