Responsibilities
- Perform professional loc styling services, including retwists, interlocks, lock extensions, and maintenance.
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
- Apply hair extensions and assist with custom color treatments using sound knowledge of color theory.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in all services, adhering to salon safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging clients, upselling retail products like hair care and styling tools, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, answering inquiries, and managing walk-in clients.
- Mentor junior team members on hair styling techniques, sanitation practices, and customer engagement strategies.
- Promote retail sales through effective upselling techniques while educating clients on product benefits.
- Stay current with industry trends in hair styling, loc techniques, nail care, makeup application, eyelash extensions, and threading.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in natural hair styling and loc services.
- Proficiency in hair extensions application, color theory, and advanced styling techniques.
- Strong communication skills to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively.
- Experience in retail sales, upselling products, and store management is preferred.
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Skilled in additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and threading is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters client loyalty.
