Wellness Director Duties and Responsibilities:
- The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style
- Strong organizational skills
- Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies
- Able to work days, but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents
- Knowledge of State Specific Regulations
- Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
- Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded
- Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment
Wellness Director Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License (Required)
