Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings, including pediatrics, home health, and outpatient clinics. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans to assist patients in achieving their maximum potential in daily activities. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with clients who have disabilities or other conditions that affect their ability to perform everyday tasks.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their needs and capabilities.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists and medical staff, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to occupational therapy practices.
Requirements
- Experience with Kinnser
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in pediatrics, home health, or outpatient settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to work with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques based on individual patient needs.
- Previous experience in speech therapy is a plus but not mandatory.
