As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chief Engineer to support the safety, functionality, and overall guest experience at our Holiday Inn Niagara Falls State park location.
Responsibilities & Duties

Oversee maintenance and repair services, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, structural, facilities, grounds, and parking areas

Monitor and evaluate work performed by outside contractors to ensure compliance with service contracts, warranties, and quality standards

Lead and maintain the hotel’s Preventive Maintenance Program

Maintain emergency procedures and equipment; support execution of all emergency protocols to ensure guest and employee safety

Manage inventory of tools and supplies to support productivity and cost control

Maintain departmental communication, productivity standards, and labor cost goals

Oversee exterior grounds, including snow removal and salting as needed; must be available to arrive early during winter weather to ensure safe guest access

Ensure indoor pool and fitness center equipment (where applicable) are clean, functional, and properly maintained

Review maintenance issues, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule assignments effectively
Qualifications
Experience:

Four years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry

Level 3 EPA Certification; HVAC and refrigeration certification preferred

Licensed plumber and/or journeyman‑level electrician or carpenter may be required

Hotel engineering experience preferred
