We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Security Service Technician to join a growing team specializing in integrated electronic security systems. This role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting access control and video surveillance systems at customer locations. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, enjoys solving problems in the field, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Perform preventative maintenance, service, and repairs on existing access control and video surveillance systems.
- Complete small system additions, upgrades, and modifications as needed.
- Program, configure, and reconfigure security hardware and software.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues involving electronic security equipment and related components.
- Provide technical support to customers both onsite and over the phone.
- Train end users on the operation and functionality of installed security systems.
- Document service work, troubleshooting efforts, and system changes accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company quality expectations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service while representing the organization in the field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience servicing, repairing, and maintaining access control and video surveillance systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic understanding of computer software and electronic security systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work standard business hours, with occasional flexibility based on customer needs.
- Low Voltage or LEA certification.
- Experience with access control and video management platforms.
- Manufacturer certifications such as Lenel, AXIS, Bosch, Commend, Redscan, or similar.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic door hardware and relay logic.
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and installation tools.
