Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician
Location: Beverly Hills, CA
Start Date: 08/24/2026
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: - Shift: M-F from 0800-1700. Requires 1-2 Saturday shifts per month on rotation from 8am-12pm
Setting: Vision Center / Outpatient Clinic
Pay:
- Travel Pay: $1,660/week gross
- Local Pay: $30/hr W2 = $1,200/week gross
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician for a contract opportunity in a fast-paced vision center setting. Ideal candidates are skilled in providing ophthalmic care, supporting providers in clinical exams and procedures, and handling diagnostic testing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare patients for exams and surgeries
- Record patient histories, medications, and vital signs
- Perform visual acuity tests, tonometry, auto-refraction, and lensometry
- Assist in ophthalmic photography, imaging (OCT), and visual fields
- Administer eye drops and educate patients on medications and post-visit care
- Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment
- Document in Epic EMR
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months experience in a vision center
- 2 years of total Ophthalmic/MA experience
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- MA Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR National MA Certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, MMCI) (For MA submissions must have recent vision center experience on resume)
- Experience with vision insurance & benefit plans
- Epic charting proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
- Experience with OCT, VF, IOL calculations, and Optos

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,670.00 per week
