Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Montessori-based curriculum tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote child welfare, behavior management, and classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing methods and early intervention techniques to support individual learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development, milestones, and classroom experiences to foster strong partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child safety, health, and incident reports.
- Oversee classroom organization, lesson planning, and materials preparation to facilitate engaging learning experiences for toddlers.
- Support team members through mentorship in childhood development instruction and best practices in preschool teaching.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development with a focus on toddler care, literacy education, and math instruction.
- Knowledge of special education principles and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques tailored for young children.
- Experience teaching physical education or movement-based activities suitable for toddlers to promote motor skills development.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and health & safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification.
- Previous private school or preschool experience is highly desirable; excellent communication skills are essential for parent engagement and team collaboration.
