Licensed HVAC Service Technician

Purpose of the Role:
As an HVAC Service Technician, your primary responsibility is to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. You’ll work directly with homeowners, ensuring their systems operate efficiently, and educate them on ways to improve comfort and performance. - Problem Solving: Diagnose HVAC issues efficiently and provide clear repair options and solutions to customers.
- Reliability: Consistently show up on time, follow company processes, and complete service calls thoroughly and professionally.
- Physical Capability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in attics/crawlspaces, carry tools/ladders, and perform duties in varying conditions.
- System Knowledge: Must be able to service, repair, and maintain a variety of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.

Skills Needed:
- Proficient with HVAC diagnostic tools and meters.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Time management and attention to detail.
Knowledge Base:
- Operation and function of HVAC equipment.
- Safe work practices and code requirements.
- Basic controls and electrical systems.
- Common service issues and troubleshooting strategies.
Qualifications / Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school education or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Valid EPA Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record.
- Journeyman License (preferred but not required).
- 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose HVAC issues and explain findings to customers.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on systems.
- Offer and educate customers on system upgrades and accessories.
- Ensure all work is performed to code and company standards.
- Complete service reports accurately and communicate job details.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
