Smyth is hiring a skilled Flexographic Press Operator to join our growing team at our facility centrally located in the Twin Cities. If you have printing experience and strong mechanical aptitude, this is a great opportunity to work a compressed 3-day schedule while producing high-quality labels and packaging.
Joining Smyth with experience that includes cold foil, hot stamp dies, rotary screens, and/or tactile varnishes AND you can deliver consistent quality throughput, your overall compensation would reflect those experiences.
Schedule

Monday–Wednesday | 5:00 AM – 5:15 PM

12.25-hour shifts (36.75 hours/week)

Overtime available (paid after 40 hours)

What You’ll Do
-
Set up and operate a Nilpeter flexographic press
-
Produce high-quality labels while meeting production and quality standards

Monitor and reduce material waste
-
Ensure press is fully stocked and running efficiently

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Strong mechanical aptitude
-
4+ years of printing or press operation experience
Preferred:

Flexographic printing experience

Experience with:
-
Cold foil
-
Hot stamp dies
-
Rotary screens
-
Tactile varnishes
-
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or BRC quality systems
