We are currently seeking a LEAD TEACHER / ASSISTANT TEACHER who is caring, dependable, patient, and passionate about working with young children.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children learn, creating fun experiences, and growing professionally in the early childhood education field.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in providing a safe, loving, and positive classroom environment.
- Support daily classroom activities and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Help supervise children during meals, nap time, playtime, outdoor activities, and transitions.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Help complete daily reports, observations, and classroom documentation.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Follow all Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) childcare regulations and center policies.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working with children preferred (daycare, preschool, babysitting, education, or related experience).
- CDA Credential or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (training may be provided).
- Must complete required Pennsylvania childcare clearances:
- PA State Police Criminal History Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (when applicable)
- National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR) verification
- Mandated Reporter Training required (training available if needed).
- Minimum of 2–3 professional references.
- Must be reliable, responsible, patient, and caring.
