Overview
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to join our Day Shift team. In this role, you will assist with preparing menu items, accurately take customer orders using the POS system, and ensure all food is prepared promptly and to specification.
The ideal candidate will follow safe food handling practices, maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, and take pride in delivering high-quality items that ensure guest satisfaction with every order.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of menu items. use POS to take customer orders, work the daily prep list which includes tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning, and preparing sauces, help to maintain a clean and organized dining room and kitchen, collaborate with other kitchen staff to fulfill customer orders and follow food safety standards and guidelines.
Skills
- Experience as a cook is preferred
- Proficiency in food handling and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of knife skills and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with restaurant kitchen operations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
