Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Hip Hop Instructor to inspire and engage students through dynamic dance education. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging hip hop dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Lead energetic dance classes that focus on rhythm, technique, choreography, and performance skills
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and teamwork
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful space for all participants
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including those with special education requirements
- Incorporate elements of theater, storytelling, and cultural context into dance instruction to enrich learning experiences
- Capture high-quality photographs or videos of performances for promotional or educational purposes
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching hip hop dance or related styles such as ballet or theater arts
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of all ages
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to dance instruction
- Experience working with children, preschoolers, or early childhood education environments
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or different learning styles
- Familiarity with photography or videography to document performances or class activities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional manner
- Background in choreography, dancing techniques, or culinary arts is a plus but not required
